Position Summary
The Trade Compliance Analyst primary focus is to facilitate global trade and help ensure compliance with customs regimes and various other agency regulations, globally. The Trade Compliance Analyst must exhibit strong research and analytical skills, often being asked to interpret import and export regulations and conclude how they apply to Constellation Brands, making changes to internal procedures accordingly. Must also review current processes and procedures while thinking critically for process improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise in trade compliance operations for import and export transactions.
- Assign and maintain product classifications (e.g., HTS) in the global classification database.
- Validate product country of origin and valuation for import and export shipments.
- Prepare and submit Import Security Filing declarations to U.S. Customs.
- Track and facilitate customs clearance and delivery of courier shipments from foreign suppliers.
- Audit U.S. import entries for accuracy and compliancy in country-of-origin assignment, tariff classification, valuation, duty computation, statistical quantity computation, etc.
- Review and submit invoice payments for customs brokerage and other import/export related suppliers.
- Prepare and file import/export shipment documentation and certificates for U.S. and foreign government agencies (including but not limited to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Census Bureau) .
- Prepare import/export documentation and reports for the drawback duty program.
- Manage shipment documentation recordkeeping in compliance with U.S. and foreign trade regulations.
- Respond to and action inquiries from internal and external partners and agencies regarding additional information required for U.S. and foreign customs clearance, government agency holds, and requests.
- Work with the Trade Compliance Manager to develop and maintain the Trade Compliance Dashboard.
- Perform daily operational tasks with supervision or collaboration.
- Support other Trade Compliance Department activities as assigned.
- Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, foreign consignees/suppliers, vendors and other internal teams to ensure efficient flow of goods.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, supply chain, law or economics.
- 3+ years in trade compliance, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or regulated industry (preferably beverage alcohol).
- Required certifications: Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Export Specialist or Equivalent work experience
- Strong written, analytical, and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Global Trade Management Software.
- ERP experience (JD Edwards or SAP preferred)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to sit/stand and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Lifting may be required.

The salary range for this role is:
$60,400.00 - $88,800.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
