Requirements
  • Minimum - Master Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline and CEng with 8-10+ years of relevant pipeline design experience.
  • Previous experience in the planning, design, and engineering of onshore and subsea pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of international design codes and practices for onshore pipelines (eg ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ISO 13623 and PD 8010-1 etc).
  • Working knowledge of pipeline construction methods (eg for onshore HDD, Auger Bore, Direct Pipe, trenching, etc.) and their impact on operational and environmental design.
  • Must have good communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mathcad.
  • Must be able to interpret, organise, and execute assignments, as well as support PM / lead engineer in coordinating the pipeline design team effectively.
  • Full command of English & French languages.
  • Detailed understanding of early phase concept work, field development and experienced in managing Early Phase projects
  • Customer focus;
  • Ability to manage change and short deadlines;
  • Excellent technical reporting skills;
  • Commercial awareness for study delivery
  • Understanding of energy fields architecture, pipelines ancillaries, flexibles, manifolds etc and design philosophies;
  • Nice to have: Experience using AutoPIPE and Caesar II to assess pipelines and pipeline components.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.12 requirements and the design of CO2 pipelines.
  • Experience with GIS software and able to support preparation of onshore pipeline route maps and alignment sheets.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles

Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with Clients and support Business Development for subsea & pipeline;
  • Take ownership within pipeline discipline in the delivery of onshore and subsea pipelines projects for Paris OC;
  • Support the preparation of budgets, resourcing and delivery of bid and tenders: final approval by Genesis management
  • Project management and delivery of multi-discipline pipeline & integrity studies;
  • Accountable for producing quality deliverables to the client
  • Undertake & check calculations as needed;
  • Write and check project deliverables, reports and technical notes;
  • Conduct and verify mechanical design calculations for pipelines during concept, pre-FEED, and FEED phases, covering aspects such as wall thickness, equivalent stress, buoyancy, expansion, anchor force, and upheaval buckling.
  • Manage the delivery of discreet packages of work in line with project requirements.
  • Develop and evaluate pipeline routes including the preparation of routing reports, performance of crossing engineering and the development of route maps / alignment sheets.
  • Prepare design reports, technical notes, philosophies and pipeline specifications related to pipeline installation including constructability assessments and support to pre-commissioning & testing activities.
  • Support geotechnical and topographical survey work including the development of associated specifications and scopes of work.
  • Provide technical input for the delivery of pipeline scopes.
  • Provide procurement support including the develop of material take-offs / specifications & data sheets, preparation of scopes of work, and assistance to technical clarifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines and other global engineering centres to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support the team’s technological advancements.
  • Perform all reasonable job tasks required by line manager.

Technip Energies wins two FEED contracts from SOGARA for Gabon refinery expansion

Technip Energies has been awarded two Front-End Engineering Design contracts by Société Gabonaise de Raffinage for its refinery in Port-Gentil, Gabon. The first contract covers debottlenecking the existing refinery, targeting key process units including a new kerosene sweetening unit and four storage facilities. The second contract involves designing a new modularised Hydrocracker Complex to significantly expand SOGARA's refining capacity, including a new marine jetty and offloading facility. Technip Energies will deploy its proprietary Steam Methane Reforming technology for hydrogen production. Both projects are designed to meet Africa 5 fuel quality standards, the continent's strictest specifications for sulphur content in transportation fuels. The award was recorded in Q1 2026 in the Technology, Products & Services segment.

Technip Energies nominates John O'Higgins as future board chair, adds Luc Rémont as director

Technip Energies has announced that John O'Higgins and Luc Rémont will be nominated for appointment to its Board of Directors at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. Current Chair Joseph Rinaldi will retire after five years, with O'Higgins designated to succeed him as Chair, subject to shareholder approval. O'Higgins currently chairs Elementis and serves as a non-executive director at Johnson Matthey and Oxford Nanopore Technologies. He previously led Spectris as CEO from 2006 to 2018. Rémont chairs Waga Energy and formerly served as Chair and CEO of EDF from 2022 to 2025. Francesco Venturini will not seek reappointment, with Rémont nominated to replace him. Both new appointees have been made Board Observers to facilitate transition before the 2026 AGM.
