Requirements
  • 7+ or more years of IT experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a minimum of 4 implementations (preferred in Enterprise scale environments)
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as an Enterprise or Technical Architect
  • Experience with design and delivery of AWS Data Architectures
  • Experience in designing and building cloud native data solutions covering container services, serverless architectures, high availability and fault-tolerant implementations, database services, data integration & big data processing and storage concepts
  • Ability to work with multiple project teams simultaneously
  • Experience in Agile DevOps delivery and everything-as-code
  • Experience with DataOps for lean data processes
  • Experience in Decoupled Architecture
  • Experience with Microservice Architecture
  • Strategic thinking and getting hands on helping development teams implement technical solutions
  • Ability to articulate data integration patterns and strategies, associated data pipeline design trade-offs, and methods for tracking data lineage
  • Work with other architects to perform overall architecture design, performance tuning/cost management, and implementation of Big Data datalake solution with AWS cloud environments
  • Expert understanding in the native data AWS stack like s3, glue, Lake Formation, Iceberg, MWAA (Managed Workflow Apache Airflow), Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM, SNS, EventBridge.
  • Understanding of Cloud Datawarehouses: Snowflake and Redshift
  • Good understanding of the capabilities of a Modern Data Platform
  • Deep understanding of best practices for data governance, security, and performance tuning
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and building scalable data solutions
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation tools
  • Good presentation and communications skills in written and spoken English
Responsibilities
  • Provides technical leadership and is responsible for determining the direction for the IT architecture, standards, design and implementation approaches for the company’s application systems, infrastructure and/or network-based cloud product systems.
  • Creates, evaluates and implements plans and design proposals for high impact IT solutions and their use involving leading edge technologies and methods considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations and criticality.
  • This is an expert-level role requiring independent action to establish methods and procedures on new and/or special assignments.
