  • 4-6 years' qualified experience at a reputable City firm and/or in-house
  • Excellent academics, achieving a minimum 2:1 at undergraduate level from a reputable university
  • Previous hands-on experience of advising on data protection projects, including experience of advising on GDPR/UK GDPR on international data transfers, drafting privacy notices, negotiating, and drafting data processor agreements and advising on marketing and e-Privacy issues
  • Be ready to hit the ground running as part of a busy team and create results from day one
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional team skills and a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in European languages in addition to English is desirable
  • Advising on data protection matters, including regulatory compliance, privacy impact assessments, GDPR compliance programmes and international data flows
  • Assisting with data protection in a contractual/transactional context, reviewing, drafting and negotiating data protection terms in vendor agreements for example, complex international transfers of data both intra-group and between third parties and data sharing agreements
  • Answering regulatory enquiries from and data breach reporting to EU data protection authorities including the ICO, DPC and NAIH
  • Researching and interpreting existing and forthcoming data protection laws and regulations in the UK and the EU
  • Drafting of written instructions for programmers and technology staff to respond to new regulations or the launch of new business lines
  • Responding to queries and complaints from clients
