Job Description:
This is a non-personal services contract to provide AF Bureau Foreign Assistance Tracking Database (Portal) Support Services that shall support the Bureau of African Affairs, Office of Regional Peace and Security (AF/RPS) and the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of Security Assistance for the PKO funding. The Portal shall be a 1) secure, globally accessible, an always available, an internet cloud-based information Portal to house, track, report out, and manage the foreign assistance plans and programs of the Bureau of African Affairs, 2) provide full-time on-site support to the AF Bureau to support the use, accuracy, and presentation of Portal information and visual and narrative products, and 3) required off-site support to maintain the functionality and security of the Portal.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Expand and maintain the Portal to house, track, report out, and manage the foreign assistance projects and programs of the Bureau of African Affairs, Office of Regional Peace and Security.
- Deliver a cloud-based, updateable database of key project demographic information that can be used to feed data visualizations on the Portal.
- Provide AF/RPS the ability to stand up dedicated sub-portals to support interagency working groups and collaboration and sharing initiatives.
- Provide Portal system maintenance, security, help desk, permissions management, training, user invitation and onboarding, and extensible environment creation.
- Shall continue to use existing Portal currently in use by AF/RPS
- Shall expand existing Portal system as necessary to store and maintain all AF-managed Foreign Assistance project and program records.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Two (2) years or more work experience working with a government, corporate, or university-level academic institution on accumulating, storing, and/or sharing knowledge (e.g., program data and information).
- Two (2) years or more work experience writing, reviewing, proofreading, and editing documents in support of the development and management of cloud-based or on-premises databases or content management systems for a government, corporate, or university-level academic institution.
- English language (written and spoken) communication skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Nice to Haves:
- (1) Year or more Exp with data visualization software, i.e., Tableau
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School/GED diploma
- Four years of experience with embedded knowledge management
