Role Overview

As an Engineering Leader at Miter, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering efforts and overall product development. You’ll recruit and hire top-tier talent, nurture the growth of individual contributor engineers and/or engineering managers, and provide clear technical direction as we expand our platform. You’ll scope and execute key infrastructure and security projects, supporting the scalability and robustness of our services. You’ll collaborate with other product, engineering, and other departmental leaders to drive Miter’s strategic goals and vision, and you’ll operate with high autonomy and velocity.

Responsibilities

• Grow, develop, recruit, and hire an amazing engineering team

• Set technical and engineering priorities to deliver long-term customer happiness

• Work directly with our customers on a regular basis

• Make organizational and staffing decisions to support customer needs and product velocity

Qualifications

• You have at least 3 years of engineering management experience, either as a manager of ICs or a manager of managers

• Before you became a manager, you were an exceptional IC engineer, and you still enjoy coding when you can

• You have built high-performing teams to tackle complex technical problems

• You love working directly with customers to scope and iterate on new products

• You have a founder’s mindset and operate with high autonomy and velocity

• You enjoy holding yourself and others to a high standard

• You have strong technical and problem-solving skills, and you enjoy simplifying hard problems in writing

What We Offer

Our openings span more than one career level. The salary band for this role is $200,000-$300,000 USD base. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as location, work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.
