Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience overseeing Hardware development or Agile programs with Hardware development efforts
  • Expert in the management of Agile projects including scrum
  • Experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or VP Agilist
  • Demonstrated interest and success in improving Agile execution
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, critical thinking, and creative problem solving
  • Proven written and oral communication skills including senior leadership presentation
  • Experience with the application of program execution metrics as well as project management approaches and tools
  • Experience using Agile methods for custom hardware or embedded software development
  • Working knowledge of other Agile frameworks and ways of working (Kanban, Scrum ban, XP, Mob programming, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Be the champion of a Lean and Agile mindset; teach, coach and mentor others in agile practices
  • Identify innovative solutions to team challenges, drawing patterns from established agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, [email protected], Nexus and SAFe), and interfacing with non-agile elements
  • Optimize the flow of work across multiple agile teams to reduce toil, leading to delivery of measurable product value with early and continuous increments
  • Lead the charge across multiple agile teams to build community, foster inter-team collaboration and the culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement; driving improvements through to fruition with insight gained through the intelligent use of data and metrics
  • Motivate and enable others to take accountability to streamline product delivery processes and for them to efficiently manage large and complex products
  • Mentor the program Product Owners (PO), Scrum Masters (SM) and team members in the Agile-scrum development process
  • Enable the team to succeed in an Agile development environment throughout the lifecycle
  • Understanding of priorities and goal setting for teams and organizations in an agile business environment
  • Leadership skills, specifically leading by example (servant leader) and display behaviors that demonstrate the key mindset shifts associated with becoming agile
  • Ability to apply multiple approaches to the removal of Agile Squad impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, coordination w/other Agile Squads and teams), where possible
  • When needed, escalate Agile Squad impediments to appropriate organizational entities
  • Including the Agile Counterworks to improve the effectiveness of all roles of the Agile Squad Shields Agile Squad from external requests and interference to ensure the Agile Squad is fully functional and productive Fosters self-organization, learning, and growth within the Agile Squad Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Practical knowledge of Agile in government contracting environments
  • Practical knowledge of DevSecOps in government contracting environments
  • Experience performing engineering cost estimation
  • Certification as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Scaled Agile Frameworks
