Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • No experience required
  • State-specific license requirements: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) and Registered Nurse (RN) issued by or recognized by the state compact or state board of nursing as applicable (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin)
  • All listed states require BLS HCP and RN license either issued by the respective state or a compact state
  • Physically able to meet job requirements including extensive movement, lifting, standing, walking, and other physical requirements as listed in the job posting
Responsibilities
  • Performs specialized tasks based on demonstrated competence to provide nursing care for patient population served
  • Performs patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age appropriate needs including assessment of nutrition, pain management, and signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect to develop, evaluate and modify patient's plan of care
  • Develops a realistic, comprehensive patient family educational plan and provides patient/family health education and coaching
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation including processing of physician orders in accordance with policies and procedures and monitors and evaluates delivery of nursing care by team members
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals regarding all aspects of patient care
  • Completes competency and requirements
  • Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
