The Role
This role drives vendor performance and results with our Credit Card Collections Partners.
We are seeking a proven leader to join Proper’s Risk Operations team. As the Vendor Manager of Credit Card Collections, you will play an important role in driving vendor performance and results with our Credit Card Collections Partners. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Collections Vendor Management, you will be responsible for reducing losses on the credit card portfolio through partner management ensuring they are executing our collections strategies while overseeing operations performance.
This role is HYBRID and requires you to work out of the Phoenix area office Wednesdays & Thursdays each week.
Problems You Will Solve
- Develop and maintain relationships with external debt collection agencies to enhance collections performance and customer experience.
- Using qualitative and quantitative measures identify performance trends to determine primary drivers to vendor performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including risk, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, finance, product, and engineering to improve overall loss performance and customer experience.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Collections Operations.
- Host partner performance reviews on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Provide proactive report/analysis on various aspects of vendor performance for leadership including interpretation of metrics/data analytics, performance and trends, complaints & remediation, and areas of opportunity.
- Work closely with required parties to proactively drive end-to-end project delivery (timelines management, risk assessment and budget considerations).
- Prepare vendors for all change management initiatives with successful delivery of operational readiness communications & training.
- Maintain integrity of the partner relationship in all interactions.
- Work on other special reviews and projects as assigned.
- Ability to travel for conducting on-site visits on a minimum of once per quarter. If performance is low for a given partner, you may be asked to travel more frequently to improve partner performance.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in vendor relations, contract management or performance management (prior experience working with credit card products strongly preferred).
- Experience working in Collections or Managing Partner Performance in Collections.
- Ability to identify, communicate, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong project and time management skills, including a high level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through, while balancing and prioritizing multiple activities and responsibilities.
