Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Advanced understanding of United States generally accepted accounting principles is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Prior manager experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of accounting policies and procedures are required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365 platforms and tools is required.
  • The ability to draw insights from unstructured data and identify opportunities for improvement with little to no direction is required.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, budget management, organization, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, workload prioritization, confidentiality, and deadline-management skills are required.
  • The ability to work across functions with Accounting Leadership, Vice Presidents, Support Service Leaders, Operators, ACE, and Support Services departments is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of functional department accounting processes, including reviewing and communicating financial results, preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, and processing partnership distributions.
  • Oversee execution of the department's month-end close process.
  • Develop a business strategy and vision for the owned books of business and functional department.
  • Establish, assess, and own key reporting metrics to support the value proposition.
  • Present opportunities to enhance existing processes and relationships within the books of business.
  • Partner with Operators to drive value for accounting services.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders, provide visibility and transparency to the functional department partnership, and support timely issue mitigation and decision-making.
  • Engage key stakeholders for feedback and apply that feedback to accounting support for the books of business.
  • Serve as an ambassador for field-facing accounting partnership and Support Services and Enterprise awareness.
  • Seek networking opportunities within the organization.
  • Lead and own information technology projects and initiatives that provide value and cost-efficiency opportunities for the functional department or ACE.
  • Solve complex problems autonomously and creatively by applying seasoned knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Anticipate the needs of other Accounting lanes and SCA departments and provide proactive support.
  • Maintain full knowledge and understanding of overall accounting processes and how investments impact services provided.
  • Provide support for other Accounting lanes through partnership.
  • Support the functional department's forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Serve as a coaching and mentoring resource to a team of accounting professionals in the functional department and ACE.
  • Own department strategic initiatives and support managers in their execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant certification is preferred but not required.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
