Position Responsibilities
As an SRE Production Readiness Review Engineer, you will:
- Oversee the Production Readiness Review (PRR) process to ensure the readiness of our production systems
- Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design and implement highly available and scalable systems
- Implement and maintain IT service management practices and DevOps practices to enhance the reliability and resiliency of our systems
- Architect, design, and build automation solutions and workflows to improve operational efficiency and system stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and PRR stakeholders, to drive continuous improvement and ensure successful production deployments
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Be able to negotiate timeline and effectively communicate with the stakeholders and leadership team on high priority deliverables according to the project plans
- Utilize hands-on experience with Sharepoint, Azure DevOps and Microsoft power platform (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI) to develop and maintain customized solutions
Utilize programming languages such as SQL, C# or other object-oriented languages, Java, JS, Python, various SQL/NoSQL databases and data management tools
· Utilize various analytics and data processing tools to cleanse, stage, transform, prepare and curate data to gain in-depth insight and modeling capability
· Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
· Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
· Participate in design sessions and code reviews with peers
· Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
· Build product definition and leverage technical skills to drive towards the right solution
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an SRE engineer or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of IT service management practices, cyber security and DevOps practices
- Strong expertise in architecting, designing, and building automation solutions and workflows
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Hands-on experience with Sharepoint and the Microsoft power platform (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI)
- Experience in architecting, designing, building automated platform solutions, Advanced data analytics using Open-Source technologies & databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra ,etc. are a big plus.
- Experience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate) will be a plus
Experience
· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in Big Data
· 2+ years of experience with architecture and design
· 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
· 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
Annual Salary
$75,000.00 - $185,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
