Synthesized launches UiPath integration to automate test data provisioning for continuous testing

Synthesized has launched an integration with UiPath Test Cloud to automate test data provisioning within testing workflows. The AI-native test data automation platform enables teams to invoke configured data workflows as part of their UiPath testing process, addressing delays caused by unavailable, consumed, or non-compliant test data. The integration allows test data preparation to become a native step inside UiPath Test Cloud rather than a separate manual process. Synthesized generates, transforms, or provisions required data whilst applying configured privacy treatments and relationship rules for selected scenarios. The integration supports end-to-end workflows from defining requirements through to test execution and workflow reuse. It is now available and was showcased at UiPath FUSION 2026 in Las Vegas, where Synthesized was the only test data vendor sponsoring the event.

UiPath wins higher price targets from BofA and Truist, but analysts still await AI-driven growth proof

UiPath received higher price targets from several Wall Street analysts following its second-quarter results, though enthusiasm remains muted amid questions about AI's impact on growth. Bank of America raised its price target to $15 from $13 but maintained an Underperform rating, stating the AI opportunity remains unproven for boosting annual recurring revenue growth. Truist lifted its target to $17 from $12 whilst keeping a Hold rating. TD Cowen increased its target to $16 from $13, citing steady execution and growing AI adoption. DA Davidson also raised its target to $16 from $12, maintaining a Neutral rating. UiPath's second-quarter revenue rose 13% to $410.26 million, exceeding analyst estimates of $397.8 million. Adjusted earnings matched expectations at $0.15 per share.

UiPath Q2 2027: AI drives 18 of top 20 deals as coding agents cut implementation effort 60%

UiPath reported its fourth consecutive quarter of GAAP profitability in Q2 2027, driven by a 42% year-over-year reduction in stock-based compensation expense. The automation software company is shifting its strategy from individual task automation to complex business process orchestration, combining deterministic automation with AI capabilities. Management noted that 18 of the top 20 deals this quarter included AI features. The company is positioning itself as model-agnostic, allowing enterprises to integrate various AI models whilst maintaining governance within its platform. UiPath announced leadership changes, with Ashim Gupta moving to COO and Hitesh Ramani to CFO, aimed at driving operational discipline across its global sales organisation. The firm is also shifting towards vertical, outcome-oriented solutions in sectors like healthcare and finance. The company expects FX headwinds of $18 million in the second half and is exploring transaction-based and outcome-based pricing models.

UiPath (PATH) grew ARR 12% as net retention rate reached 109%. Can agentic automation reaccelerate expansion?

UiPath (PATH) grew ARR 12% as net retention rate reached 109%. Can agentic automation reaccelerate expansion? Published September 4, 2026 at 7:33 pm EDT UiPath, Inc. (NYSE:PATH) reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $410.3 million, up 13% year over year, while annualized renewal run-rate, or ARR, rose 12% to $1.938 billion. UiPath, Inc. defines ARR as annualized invoiced amounts per solution SKU from subscription licenses and maintenance and support obligations, assuming no increases or reductions in customer subscriptions. The company-defined operating metric excludes perpetual licenses and professional services. It also does not reflect nonrecurring partner rebates once sufficient history establishes their nonrecurring nature, nonrecurring incentives such as promotional discounts, or actual or anticipated invoiced reductions from nonrenewals or cancellations, other than certain reserves. Net new ARR, the sequential net addition to ARR, increased to $37 million from $31 million one year earlier. The dollar-based net retention rate rose to 109% from 108%. This rate compares ARR from the same customer cohort across 12 months, including expansion and subtracting contraction and attrition while excluding new customers. Profitability improved more sharply. UiPath, Inc. generated $31.6 million of GAAP operating income, versus a $20.2 million loss one year earlier. Company-defined non-GAAP operating income increased to $89.0 million from $62.3 million. The measure excludes stock-based compensation, acquired-intangible amortization, payroll taxes related to employee equity transactions, restructuring costs, charitable stock donations, and contingent-consideration fair-value changes. Bull case. UiPath, Inc. has an installed enterprise automation base that provides a natural distribution channel for Maestro and other agentic capabilities. Maestro can serve as a control layer connecting AI agents, software robots, systems, and employees without requiring customers to replace existing robotic process automation. UiPath, Inc. introduced Maestro Case for dynamic processes involving exceptions and approvals and Maestro Flow for designing and governing end-to-end processes. These products could increase spending if customers move agentic projects from pilots into production. The earnings improvement provides room to fund the transition. GAAP operating margin reached approximately 8%, while company-defined non-GAAP operating margin was approximately 22%. UiPath, Inc. also held $1.405 billion of cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities at quarter-end. Bear case. A 109% dollar-based net retention rate represents 9% net cohort expansion after contraction and attrition. A nine-percentage-point decline would eliminate that expansion. Net new ARR of $37 million also remains modest relative to the $1.938 billion installed base despite improving from the prior-year quarter. UiPath, Inc. did not disclose agentic-specific revenue, ARR, or consumption, leaving it unclear whether Maestro adoption is generating incremental spending or mainly supporting renewals. Competition is widening as major software platforms and specialized vendors add agents, orchestration, and embedded automation. Fiscal-year ARR guidance of $2.065 billion to $2.070 billion implies growth of approximately 11.4% to 11.7%. That supports continued expansion, but not yet a sharp reacceleration. Finance execution is another variable. Ashim Gupta will focus exclusively on the chief operating officer role, while Hitesh Ramani was promoted from deputy chief financial officer and chief accounting officer to chief financial officer. The internal promotion supports continuity, although forecasting, capital allocation, and financial controls still require a smooth handoff. Hedge fund sentiment. The filings available so far reflect positions held before UiPath, Inc. reported its fiscal second-quarter results and reset its finance leadership. Insider Monkey's database showed 48 hedge funds holding UiPath, Inc. at the end of 2Q2026, up from 40 funds three months earlier. Conclusion. UiPath, Inc. has achieved meaningful operating leverage, but customer expansion remains measured. The agentic thesis becomes stronger if net new ARR and the dollar-based net retention rate accelerate alongside disclosed adoption or consumption metrics. Until then, UiPath, Inc. is operating more efficiently while the case for agentic-driven growth is still being established.

Why UiPath (PATH) stock is falling today.

Why UiPath (PATH) stock is falling today. Anthony lee /. September 4, 2026 What happened? Shares of automation software company UiPath (NYSE:PATH) fell 16.4% in the afternoon session after the company reported its second-quarter CY2026 financial results which failed to live up to the high expectations set for AI-linked companies. UiPath reported second-quarter revenue of $410.3 million, according to the company's press release, an increase of 13.4% year on year that topped Wall Street estimates of $397.9 million. Adjusted earnings per share of $0.15 met consensus projections. However, billings came in at $375.5 million, which slightly missed expectations. Management tied the mixed results to longer customer decision-making cycles as enterprises evaluate the evolving mix of deterministic and AI-driven automation. CEO Daniel Dines said on the earnings call that the company is seeing a shift toward orchestrating complex business processes rather than automating isolated tasks, noting that "18 of our top 20 deals this quarter included AI." Despite that pipeline engagement, new CFO Hitesh Ramani said on the call that UiPath is taking a "prudent approach" to guidance. He cited macroeconomic variability and shifts in customer adoption patterns as reasons for the caution.
