Requirements
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Management, data science or other related degrees at an accredited college/university during internship
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2023 internship
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
- Ability to manage many, oftentimes competing, priorities
- Ability to manage projects from idea to implementation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
- Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Completing projects designed to improve the quality of care delivered to members
- Assisting on projects designed to increase the number of members enrolled in Amerigroup's Medicare and Medicaid health plans
- Supporting on projects intended to identify cost savings opportunities for healthcare services
- Completing projects focused on retaining existing members and additional projects as assigned
- Dual Plan Alignment: The successful candidate will support dual plan alignment by ideating and implementing new and innovative ways to increase the number of aligned duals within the Amerigroup plans
- Cost of Care: The successful candidate will support cost of care by leading ideation sessions and driving the implementation of new cost of care initiatives
- STARS: The successful candidate will become familiar with Medicare STARS and support the identification and resolution of opportunities for quick wins on STARS improvements

- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner as Training and Licensing will be provided
