Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze sales contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the systems, sales, and legal teams to address revenue-related issues and provide guidance to ensure accounting compliance.
  • Monitor and reconcile revenue-related accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed to ensure a smooth month-end close accounting process.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and NetSuite reports and support FP&A team by providing explanations on revenue flux.
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in revenue accounting procedures and support initiatives to implement enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize revenue recognition processes.
  • Support M&A activities as it relates to revenue, including integration and documentation of processes.
