Requirements
- Current enrollment in an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's program in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited institution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and improve manufacturing processes
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software, and engineering principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, share ideas, and contribute to collective goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process documentation and quality control activities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
- Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues by applying engineering principles and problem-solving skills
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts
- Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and root cause analysis for non-conforming products
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and reduce waste
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team
