Requirements
  • Hands-on, production-level Salesforce Revenue Cloud development experience covering CPQ and Billing code deployed to production.
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce CPQ data model, including quote, quote line, product, price rule, and product rule objects.
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce Billing data model, including invoices, billing schedules, usage summaries, orders, and payment-related objects.
  • Experience writing CPQ Apex extensions, including Quote Calculator Plugins, custom pricing logic, and product configuration callbacks.
  • Experience developing Apex for amendment flows, renewal automation, proration, and co-term billing logic.
  • Experience integrating Revenue Cloud with NetSuite SuiteBilling, ZoneCo, Stripe Billing, or equivalent downstream billing systems.
  • Expert-level Apex development covering triggers, classes, invocable methods, batch, queueable, scheduled, and test classes with meaningful assertions.
  • Strong Lightning Web Component development, including component composition, wire adapters, Apex integration, and UI API usage.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce governor limits, SOQL and DML best practices, bulkification patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model, including organization-wide defaults, role hierarchy, sharing rules, with-sharing and without-sharing, field-level security, and permission sets.
  • Proficiency with Flow Builder, including record-triggered, screen, autolaunched, and subflows, plus Apex-called and Apex-invoked patterns.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs, Bulk API, Streaming API, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Composite API patterns.
  • Experience designing and building bidirectional integrations with error handling, retry logic, idempotency, and operational monitoring.
  • Ability to produce and maintain integration data contracts, field mappings, and API specifications for downstream and upstream systems.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce DX, Git-based version control, scratch orgs, and metadata-driven development.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset, or equivalent.
  • Commitment to code quality through meaningful unit tests, peer code review, static analysis, and consistent naming and documentation standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, including governor limits, SOQL performance, asynchronous failures, and integration errors.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-native delivery practices, including large-language-model-assisted development, rapid prototyping, and AI-supported documentation.
  • Comfort using conversational development workflows to generate, refine, test, debug, and explain Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, integrations, and APIs.
  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly while maintaining engineering discipline, code quality, security, and platform best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across architects, consultants, business users, quality assurance teams, and project managers across global time zones.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and solution designs into high-quality, documented technical deliverables.
  • Ability to explain technical options, constraints, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Five or more years of Salesforce development experience with strong hands-on implementation delivery.
  • Three or more years of direct, hands-on Salesforce Revenue Cloud development experience, with code written and deployed to production.
  • Proven delivery of at least two end-to-end Revenue Cloud development engagements from technical design through go-live.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CPQ Apex classes, including Quote Calculator Plugins, CPQ Price Rules callbacks, product configurator extensions, and custom script replacements.
  • Develop Apex triggers, invocable methods, and batch jobs to automate billing schedules, invoice generation, payment processing, credit note creation, and billing exception handling.
  • Build Apex-driven amendment and renewal flows, including co-term calculations, proration logic, contract line management, and renewal opportunity creation.
  • Design and build invocable Apex methods called from record-triggered and screen flows to extend Revenue Cloud processes beyond declarative limits.
  • Build Lightning Web Components for custom quote line editors, pricing calculators, product configurators, approval interfaces, and billing dashboards embedded in the Salesforce user interface.
  • Use Platform Events and Change Data Capture to trigger real-time integrations and downstream system notifications from Revenue Cloud transactions.
  • Write batch, queueable, and scheduled Apex for large-volume Revenue Cloud operations, including invoice runs, renewal processing, and usage rating.
  • Design and build record-triggered, screen, autolaunched, and subflows supporting CPQ and Billing process automation at scale.
  • Implement validation rules, custom formula fields, and Apex-based constraint logic enforcing quote, contract, and billing data quality standards.
  • Design and build integrations between Revenue Cloud and ERP systems, billing platforms, and financial systems.
  • Develop inbound and outbound REST and SOAP API integrations with error handling, retry logic, idempotency, and monitoring.
  • Build and maintain integration payloads, field mapping specifications, and data contract documentation for connected systems.
  • Work with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Workato, or similar integration-platform-as-a-service tools to govern integration delivery and operational monitoring.
  • Ensure revenue data integrity, reconciliation, and traceability between Salesforce and downstream finance or billing systems.
  • Own technical delivery through development, code review, unit testing, sandbox validation, staging deployment, and production release.
  • Manage metadata deployments, change sets, scratch orgs, and sandbox refreshes across project environments.
  • Write and maintain Apex unit tests meeting or exceeding 85 percent code coverage, emphasizing meaningful assertions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including governor limit violations, SOQL performance issues, integration failures, and flow errors.
  • Use AI-native delivery practices for code generation, Apex development, flow design, and integration specification drafting.
  • Use conversational development workflows to generate, refine, test, debug, and document Salesforce technical artifacts.
  • Contribute to the AI-native accelerator library by documenting reusable patterns, prompt templates, and technical tooling.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and consultants to translate functional designs into technical build plans.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Produce technical documentation, including solution designs, API specifications, data flow diagrams, and deployment runbooks.
  • Mentor junior developers in Salesforce development standards, Revenue Cloud patterns, and AI-native tooling.
