Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent related training is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in front-of-house, fine-dining food and beverage operations is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar scope and title is required.
  • Experience within luxury brands or markets is required.
  • Manager food safety certification and TIPS training certification are preferred or must be attained within 30 days.
  • Knowledge of database, Internet, inventory, order-processing, spreadsheet, and word-processing software is required.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, are required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer needs is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks is required.
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with existing and potential clients and industry contacts is required.
  • Proficiency in the Micros point-of-sale system is required.
  • Proficiency in the OpenTable reservation system is required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of outlet service staff and ensure a high-quality guest experience.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through standardized feedback forms and direct guest interaction.
  • Submit accurate monthly beverage and retail inventories as directed by the hotel controller and Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Submit accurate quarterly china, glass, and silverware inventories as directed by the hotel controller and Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Assist with revenue and expense forecasting in KHMS for assigned areas of food and beverage operations.
  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, maintain sanitation standards, and assist service staff on the floor during peak meal periods.
  • Determine training needs, implement training plans, and improve guest and employee satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Take corrective action to continuously improve service results.
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel, resolve problems, communicate with staff, and recommend discipline when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures through training, supervision, follow-up, and hands-on management.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room-service areas.
  • Estimate beverage consumption and purchase or requisition beverage ingredients and supplies.
  • Create and implement promotional plans to drive business to the Beverage Department.
  • Host local events to create charity and local business opportunities.
  • Provide leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify customer service, and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
