Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field is required.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred.
  • Experience with TAKT planning is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients are required.
  • Technical and application knowledge of the built-environment infrastructure, including buildings and infrastructure, is required.
  • Experience in the construction industry is required.
  • Understanding of project estimating and scheduling techniques is required.
  • Ability to navigate and move around a construction site, including walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle tools and equipment and perform tasks requiring coordination and manual skills.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity are required.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not more than two hours consecutively.
  • Ability to print and draw legible letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
  • Ability to control behavior in stressful situations or under short deadlines and maintain a high level of concentration.

Responsibilities
  • Manage job controls to ensure compliance with technical requirements, contracts, budget, schedule, and building information modeling coordination.
  • Provide technical support for construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, construction methods, design-conflict resolution and documentation, and constructability reviews.
  • Prepare daily logs, project technical design submittals, required reports, and inspection and testing documentation.
  • Monitor daily progress of craft and trade subcontractors for compliance with technical and contract requirements.
  • Respond to subcontractor requests for information by reviewing technical requirements and coordinating with the engineer of record as needed.
  • Review subcontractor implementation plans, including project management, procurement, safety, quality, and means-and-methods plans, to identify risks.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project planning, including establishing baseline cost, baseline schedule, and cash flow.
  • Assist with subcontracting strategy, subcontractor development, estimating, buyout, and change management actions.
  • Assist the Project Manager in creating and managing the project risk register to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Manage master schedule planning and daily activity implementation, and support three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Lead efforts to secure required permits, environmental approvals, and licenses.
  • Lead the project safety and quality program.
  • Lead commissioning, closeout, and turnover processes.
