Hi, we’re Oscar. We’re hiring an Appian Developer to join our Appian Development team.
Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.
About the role
As an Appian Developer, you will be a key member on a team that successfully delivers and supports several internal apps on the Appian platform for the company. You’ll join a tight knit, passionate team dedicated to building robust Business Process Management (BPM) tooling to support the entire organization as we scale the platform. You have the Appian skills needed to develop and roll out moderately complex apps on the Appian platform, which will transform our business teams by reducing processing times, connecting teams across the organization, and enforcing rigid escalation and approval processes. You’ll get to work with the latest Appian technologies, such as Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Synced Records, and Process Mining, while seeing their impacts to our business first hand. You’ll also support all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and production support of applications.
You will work closely with an Appian Lead Developer within our Engineering organization and will work closely with multiple Product Managers within the Process Engineering pod, who are responsible for supporting the requirements gathering and development of solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with external Appian development resources and will partner with the Appian COE as the leaders responsible for ensuring the acceptance criteria is met within the application design and implementation.
You will report to the VP of Data Integrations. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
