Fronius Reserva Pro - storage for high energy demand.

Fronius Reserva Pro - storage for high energy demand. As energy demands grow, flexibility and reliability become even more essential. Designed for commercial operations, agricultural businesses and larger residential buildings, the new Fronius Reserva Pro delivers both. This high-performance battery system offers impressive capacity, European cell and module manufacturing, and seamless integration into the Fronius ecosystem. The Reserva Pro is a modular, DC-coupled high-voltage battery. Each tower offers 12-32 kWh of usable storage (three to eight modules), and up to four towers can be connected in parallel to scale the system up to 128 kWh, making it suitable for powering large loads, machinery or multi-unit homes. With its backup power function and black-start capability, the Fronius Reserva Pro ensures a stable supply even in the event of a power outage. Installers benefit from a smart, tool-free plug-and-stack design that allows for quick, single-person installation. Automatic data migration makes module replacement and capacity expansion straightforward, while state-of-charge balancing keeps all modules synchronised. Powerful charging and discharging performance. In combination with the Fronius Verto Plus hybrid inverter, the Reserva Pro provides up to 28.3 kW of charging and discharging power; with the GEN24 Plus, it achieves up to 12.4 kW. To further increase efficiency and reduce energy costs, the AI-based Energy Cost Assistant analyses and optimises energy flows across the PV system and the storage solution. By learning typical consumption patterns and automatically improving how and when energy is used, it helps users get the most out of their battery while lowering their overall energy costs. Safety is ensured through the use of robust LFP technology, known for thermal stability, long service life and low maintenance. Internal safety devices protect against overcharging, deep discharge and imbalances, and are backed by a 10-year Fronius warranty. As part of the Fronius ecosystem, the system integrates seamlessly with Solar.start, Solar.web and Solar.SOS, enabling easy commissioning, real-time monitoring and efficient service workflows. All system data is stored on European servers, ensuring strict security and data protection standards are met. European cell and module production. Fronius manufactures most of its products in Europe. This strong regional value chain ensures high quality and safety standards. The Reserva Pro follows the same principle: its cells and modules are produced in Europe, supporting secure supply routes and eligibility for regional programs such as Austria's 'Made in Europe' bonus. With its scalability, efficiency, European manufacturing, and strong safety features, the Fronius Reserva Pro sets a new benchmark for high-capacity energy storage, paving the way for a secure, sustainable and independent energy future.

Fronius' new battery storage system features backup power and high charge rates.

Fronius' new battery storage system features backup power and high charge rates. The new Reserva Pro battery storage system from the Austrian company Fronius is specifically aimed at customers with high energy demands. It offers high charge and discharge rates as well as backup power capabilities. Bernhard Rotter ( translated by Bernhard Rotter), Published 03/29/2026 🇩🇪 🇪🇸... Following its initial announcement in February 2026, the new Reserva Pro battery is now becoming available at a growing number of retailers. Much like the standard Fronius Reserva model (without the "Pro"), the manufacturer is thus joining the ever-growing list of high-voltage storage providers. Direct competitors are likely to be Varta or BYD, who have also recently introduced new models. According to Fronius, the energy storage system is geared particularly toward customers with high energy needs, such as large residential buildings or commercial enterprises. The system is indeed highly scalable: in its maximum configuration (via parallel connection), up to 128 kWh of storage capacity is possible. Thanks to the modular design, smaller systems can also be realized, with 3 modules totaling around 12 kWh representing the minimum system size. However, this capacity puts it in a range that should also be attractive to average customers with standard homes. A major advantage of this new battery generation is its high charging and discharging performance, which ranges from roughly 10.6 to 28.3 kW, depending on the number of modules used. On the one hand, this is highly beneficial for backup power operations when the entire household, including large loads, needs to be supplied during a power outage. On the other hand, the manufacturer claims this will also help increase the self-consumption rate of power-hungry appliances. Speaking of backup power and charging performance: Although the manufacturer naturally promotes these features in conjunction with the new battery, it should be noted here that all other system components must be equipped accordingly to utilize them. For instance, high charge rates require a suitably powerful inverter. Furthermore, anyone wanting to benefit from a whole-home backup power supply will need, at the very least, an appropriate transfer switch. In this context, Fronius mentions its own Backup Controller. Pricing and alternative options. For the smallest 12 kWh configuration, the current estimated price in Europe is around 6,000 euros (see Geizhals price comparison). As more storage modules are added, prices increase accordingly; a 32 kWh setup is priced at around 13,000 euros. Deliveries are expected to begin around mid-April. Those looking to save money and who do not necessarily need to scale their system to over 100 kWh of storage capacity will certainly find a more cost-effective option with the standard Fronius Reserva or BYD models. These offer very similar performances and are currently retailing at around 4,000 to 5,000 euros for approximately 11 to 12 kWh of capacity.

Fronius Artis 300 DC XT - more power for TIG DC welding.

Fronius Artis 300 DC XT - more power for TIG DC welding. March 17, 2026 The new Artis 300 DC XT from Fronius extends the amp range for the product family, which boasts more power, user-friendliness, and an extended XT version for worldwide use. Both Artis 300 DC XT versions - the Artis 300 DC W XT (water-cooled) and Artis 300 DC G XT (gas-cooled) welders are available in the USA. Consistent with its design, the Artis uses numerous TIG functions to support professional-grade, high-quality welds. Whether it's used for pipe maintenance, handrail installation, machine repair, or hot water tank production, the Artis 300 DC XT is perfect for small and medium-sized companies with a wide range of stainless steel welding applications. With the latest addition to the Artis series, manual TIG welding with up to 300 amps is now possible. "The new Artis is the logical expansion of the Artis series and is specially tailored to users with higher power requirements," said Michael Eisterhuber, Product Line Manager at Fronius International. Wide range of functions and user-friendliness The Artis 300 combines all the functions of the more compact model and supports perfect weld quality and a high-quality seam appearance, the company adds. These include TIG pulse welding up to 990 Hz, the TAC tacking function, spot and stitch welding, trigger mode, setting options for the gas pre-flow time and gas post-flow, and touch high-frequency ignition for difficult accessibility. If required, the Artis is also suitable for electrode welding, making it a real all-arounder. To make the most of all the advantages of the Artis 300 in everyday welding, the device is equipped with an optimized control panel that is easy to use even when wearing gloves. Five EasyJob buttons allow important welding parameters to be saved, making recurring welds easier. An additional favorites button makes the most important background parameters available in just one step. During welding, the clear welding current display enables precise control of the entire process. Wide range of variants: water-cooled and can be used worldwide The Artis is available in a wide range of variants and can be adapted to individual requirements. A new addition is a dedicated welding machine variant with integrated water cooling. A new stepper motor pump concept and built-in temperature sensors make the device particularly energy-efficient, with cooling only starting when it is actually needed. This makes it a great alternative to the familiar gas-cooled version. "Water-cooled devices are often more popular in the upper amp range, as the handle of the torch is slightly narrower and therefore fits better in your Information class: Public hand," explains Eisterhuber, adding: "This is just a matter of a welder's preference. In terms of quality, there are no differences between gas-cooled and water-cooled Fronius systems." Regardless of the type of cooling, the Artis is also available in an extended XT version, which enables single-phase 230 V use up to 300 A and can be used worldwide thanks to the large input voltage range of 200 to 600 V on 3 phase.
