Domestic Logistics Specialist

Domestic Logistics Specialist responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides support to the Domestic team including dispatching, document preparation, tracking and tracing freight, verifying load integrity.       
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, carriers and peers.
• Prepare quotes for new and existing business partners as requested by logistics team
• Communicate frequently with the Capacity team and or carriers to gather POD’s, BOL’s, invoices, and updates in order to close loads in a timely manner
• Consistently track and trace your freight movements from origination to destination and solve operational challenges
• Provide unmatched Customer Service through daily conversations with customers/carriers in order to build relationships and serve their needs
• Other duties as assigned to support business needs

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school Diploma or GED
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous experience in a full truckload/LTL or dispatching role. Business development and/or operations a plus
• Previous experience in the following modes: dry van, LTL, expedited, flatbed, oversized, refrigerated, intermodal a plus
• Have the drive, assertiveness, passion, and dedication to succeed in the logistics industry
• Work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
• Multitask in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Ownership of role and responsibilities, participate in team goals.
• Manage emotional customer situations promptly and professionally
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
