Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a high tech or aerospace industry
- Experience managing core IT operations and services, such as active directory, M365, teams, and other relevant services
- Experience leading various IT-managed SaaS software offerings, such as Slack, Onedrive, and others
- Experience overseeing IT helpdesk support functions and handling management escalations
- Experience with export control or otherwise regulated industries is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Supervise and enhance core IT services, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and IT-managed SaaS services
- Lead the IT helpdesk function, providing top-tier support and resolving escalated technical issues with efficiency and expertise
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure a unified IT approach that complements the organizational technology landscape
- Supervise and mentor direct reports and contracted helpdesk staff, providing feedback, training, and performance evaluation
- Plan and implement IT projects, such as migrations, upgrades, deployments, and integrations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
- Demonstrate a proactive and innovative approach to using IT solutions to improve user productivity and quality of life, such as implementing cloud-based applications, automation tools, and collaboration platforms
- Take a key role in defining and executing the IT department's strategy, in collaboration with senior leadership and other IT stakeholders, to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic plan
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders and other teams across the business to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful delivery of IT solutions
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of service
- May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
