Requirements
  • Assist with maintaining building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and manage facility scheduling for events, practices, and activities.
  • Assist with staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Coordinate with cleaning, security, and audio-visual vendors and oversee service quality.
  • Assist with facility operations budgeting, including maintenance, repairs, and vendor services, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Support emergency response planning and staff preparedness for building-related incidents.
  • Develop, adjust, and improve standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and accessibility regulations and standards.
  • Respond to changing priorities and maintain operational readiness for daily operations and special events.
  • Provide hands-on event support from planning through execution and troubleshoot operational and technology issues.
  • Have 1–3 years of facility or event management experience.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Have knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have basic project management skills.
  • Have good customer service skills and sound judgment.
  • Be proficient in facility management software and tools.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center and ensure that the facility is maintained to high standards.
  • Support maintenance and repair of building systems.
  • Help manage facility scheduling for events, practices, and activities.
  • Assist with staffing schedules for facility events and activities.
  • Coordinate facility service vendors and oversee service quality.
  • Assist with managing the facility operations budget and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Support emergency response plan development and implementation.
  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure facility compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain operational readiness for daily operations and special events.
  • Provide hands-on event support from planning through execution and troubleshoot operational and technology issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hold a Certificate of Fitness for supervision of the fire control panel.
  • Hold a Certified Facility Manager certification or similar credential.
  • Have experience in event management and logistics.
  • Have knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management.
