Requirements
  • 3+ years of management experience with a team of at least 5 engineers
  • 5+ years working as a software engineer
  • Experience building, delivering, and managing large-scale customer-facing web applications
  • Understanding of the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration
  • Establishing a culture of continuous improvement
  • Experience developing individual contributors based on their needs and interests as well as the needs of the company
  • Technology business partner - recognizes the value in relationships with team members in and out of Engineering
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of full-stack engineers to deliver customer-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Support the growth of individual engineers on your team through mentoring/coaching and career-pathing
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop new products and enhance existing ones
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team
  • Be hands-on and contribute to feature development
