Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six to eight years of experience in a maintenance leadership role in a capital-intensive operation.
- Strong communication skills to receive and convey information, much of it technical in nature.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work priorities, and planning.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of people.
- Strong leadership and employee development skills.
- Experience establishing and improving standard operating procedures that drive process.
- Ability to work independently and relentlessly pursue improvements.
- Ability to use logic and appropriate methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
- Strong experience using lean manufacturing to continually improve the operation.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a proactive approach to plant maintenance by evaluating and improving preventive maintenance program processes and procedures.
- Ensure the preventive maintenance program provides adequate service coverage for each piece of equipment to minimize or eliminate unplanned equipment downtime.
- Ensure equipment has the most up-to-date control and drive systems.
- Evaluate and determine the root cause of unplanned equipment downtime and ensure corrective action remedies the immediate issue while long-term preventive action addresses systemic issues.
- Ensure department staffing levels are adequate to provide maintenance inspection, repair, and continual improvement.
- Work with production departments to engage operators in daily and weekly preventive maintenance.
- Research and implement techniques used to predict machine failures and incorporate those techniques into standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the safety of staff and all employees.
- Ensure all new equipment is incorporated into the preventive maintenance program.
- Work with facility management to understand long-range capital plans.
- Manage supervisors and technicians in a 24/7 operation and continually improve their skill level and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
