Requirements
  • Completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Responsibilities
  • Handle patient registration, insurance verification, pre-registration, and point of service collections.
  • Ensure accurate patient data, educate patients on financial responsibilities.
  • Conduct financial counseling referrals, Medicare compliance (IM and MOON forms).
  • Manage valuables and coordinate morgue.
  • Provide on-site coverage at public arrival desks and the Emergency Department.
  • Perform customer service, regulatory compliance and collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) encouraged.
  • Over three years related health care experience including working with third party payers preferred.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred.
