Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent military/work experience
  • 36 months of machine tool operation including programming and workholding concepts
  • 24 months of electrical and/or mechanical experience including assembly, integration, and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
  • Programs and operates 3D Metal Printers, CNC Router, CNC Mill, CNC Water-Jet, and Manual Lathe/Mill
  • Prepares solid models to input into various CAM systems depending on part requirements
  • Assists with DFM process by providing component level input regarding manufacturability and material selection
  • Performs solid modeling of fixturing and workholding components
  • Conducts assembly, routing, and testing of control and power circuits and hydraulic and pneumatic circuits for various subsystems
  • Assist with metal additive manufacturing process by providing inputs regarding manufacturability and material selection
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of additive manufacturing, especially metal-related
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Work, etc.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in machining operations/cutter geometries based on materials, orders of operations, and concepts
  • Proficiency reading and understanding mechanical diagrams and schematics
