Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in business-to-business food or protein sales.
  • Experience in independent retail or foodservice channels.
  • Experience with halal- or kosher-certified products.
  • Deep knowledge of multicultural food markets.
  • Established broker or distributor relationships in multicultural channels.
  • Experience with meat, seafood, poultry, or specialty protein.
  • Experience in ethnic grocery retail, such as H Mart or Northgate.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience with independent restaurant groups or ethnic quick-service restaurants.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or an equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of food safety, cold chain, and United States Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and close new independent retail and foodservice accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans with defined revenue targets, acquisition goals, and segment-specific strategies.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing account management.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual volume, revenue, and margin objectives.
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on ethnically diverse food channels and consumer preferences across Hispanic/Latino, Asian-American, African/Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian communities.
  • Develop culturally tailored sales pitches and account-level programming.
  • Track trends in multicultural protein consumption, including halal, kosher, specialty cuts, and heritage breeds.
  • Represent the brand at ethnic food trade shows, community festivals, and industry forums to build brand visibility and trust.
  • Navigate the buying structures, payment preferences, and relationship dynamics of independent retail and foodservice operators.
  • Build trust-based relationships with store owners, executive chefs, purchasing managers, and distributor partners, and provide hands-on support.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, or another relevant language.
