Requirements
  • An Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Development or a Child Development Associate credential is required.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare setting is required.
  • Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory, with an infant and toddler focus, in daily activities and adapt to individual children's needs.
  • Ability to use computers and office technology, including keyboard proficiency, telephones, and fax equipment.
  • Ability to supervise and monitor children continuously to maintain a safe environment and respond quickly to active children who may require restraint or redirection.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Ability to lift children weighing 50 pounds or more during emergencies or unusual circumstances.
  • Ability to perform activities on the floor and outdoors with children and remain active for extended periods.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and dangerous situations and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to accompany children on field trips, assist them on and off buses, and help them cross streets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of the children.
  • Promote family engagement in all aspects of the program.
