Requirements
  • 12 years of relevant technical and commercial background in the petrochemical industry
  • Understanding of mechanical and chemical recycling processes, market drivers, and technologies
  • Knowledge of technology providers, chemical producers, and plastics markets
  • In-depth understanding of the plastics value chain, including waste management
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry; MBA preferred -OR- equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with databases, process documentation, and business intelligence tools
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the content manager for OPIS's Circular Plastics Service activities
  • Take a lead role in developing strategy and direction for growth of the service
  • Assume a leading role in developing the plastics sustainability organization to meet current objectives and position the team for growth and expansion
  • Assure content that positions the service with government and financial entities, industry stakeholders (producers, brand owners, retailer), NGOs and stakeholder alliances
  • Lead the development of content that supports strong relationships with leaders in Government, Finance, NGOs and Industry stakeholders to further advance OPIS' position in the space
  • Develop understanding of the technologies for collection and sorting aspects of plastics waste and implications from advancements in IND 4.0
  • Develop and leverage intra-company expertise and content to support platform deliverables
  • Regular travel to visit existing clients and cultivate relationships with potential clients across the stakeholder value chain
