Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 7-10 years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A solid background in project management.
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all internal levels of employees and with external customers and suppliers.
  • The ability to lead and supervise employees at various levels.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in manufacturing.
  • Financial responsibility.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the team to meet customer requirements for quality and on-time delivery, procure required materials and services, and provide customer support.
  • Develop and implement programs or initiatives tailored to prioritized areas of focus to create and sustain a high-performance culture.
  • Develop the fiscal-year budget aligned with business objectives, including capital spending projections.
  • Monitor and evaluate company financial and operational trends and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Manage all aspects of the process, including resource planning, project timelines, and establishing priorities, to ensure customer requirements and quoted standards are met.
  • Oversee, delegate, and coordinate manufacturing-related activities in the group to achieve customer satisfaction, inventory, cost-reduction, and profit-margin goals.
  • Develop and update capacity plans for human and equipment resources by reviewing customer production orders, sales forecasts, and engineering methods.
  • Promote effective self-directed work teams by establishing clear objectives, providing coaching and feedback, encouraging cross-training and skill development, and evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Evaluate resources to determine performance and competency gaps, encourage appropriate paths for growth and development, and partner with Human Resources to provide required training opportunities.
  • Promote continuous improvement and process refinement through lean principles by supporting and encouraging Kaizen events and reinforcing successes.
  • Provide customer service through timely responses, collaboration, and professional communications.
  • Directly supervise associates in one or more manufacturing cells in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience estimating, methodizing, and sourcing suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, and computer numerical control (CNC).
