Requirements
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred
  • Proficiency in presentation skills and computer literacy
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software
  • Minimum 15 years in metallics processes, specifically in 3/5 axis machining and complex assemblies
  • Experience with welding, bonding, brazing, soldering and bonding of dissimilar metals
  • Experience with forging, sheeting metal, and hydroforming
  • Experience with emerging technologies in metallics fabrication, such as additive manufacturing for metals
  • Familiarity and background in a variety of applications or industries such as Medical, UAM, UAV, Commercial Aerospace, Defense and/or Space
  • Adept in a wide variety of advanced metallic treatments, processes, applications, and material knowledge
  • Leadership of cross functional teams without direct reporting authority
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and recommend new applications for Re:Build’s existing metallic capability portfolio
  • Orchestrate multi-site initiatives for metallic product design and fabrication to best utilize current Re:Build capabilities and capacity
  • Investigate and recommend new technology capabilities as it related to metallic manufacturing processes
  • Provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert to external customers and internal sites
  • Lead technical execution of metallic assemblies and components
  • Lead DFM and support site level quoting efforts
  • Develop key partnerships with existing and new supply base for metallic treatment and post processing capabilities
  • Provide recommendations related to long term insourcing and outsourcing strategies
  • Introduce group tools and processes that inspires creative thinking
