Requirements
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive bar management experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Proven expertise in cocktail preparation, mixology, and knowledge of spirits, wines, and beverages
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and supervise diverse staff
  • Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, sanitation, and liquor licensing regulations
  • Proficiency in bar management systems, POS software, and inventory management tools
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization
  • Outstanding customer service skills with ability to engage guests and resolve complaints professionally
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Certification in hospitality management or bar management from a recognized institution
  • Experience working in international luxury hotel chains or Michelin-starred establishments
  • Knowledge of wine pairing and sommelier principles
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Hindi or other regional languages
  • Experience developing innovative beverage programs and signature cocktails
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing bar revenue and profitability
  • Strong vendor relationship management and negotiation skills
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all bar operations, including service standards, inventory management, and staff performance to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Lead, train, and supervise bar staff, including bartenders, servers, and support personnel; conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, and stock rotation; monitor costs and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards
  • Develop and maintain innovative cocktail menus and beverage programs that align with hotel standards and guest preferences
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations; maintain compliance with local and national hospitality laws
  • Create and manage bar budgets, forecast revenue, and analyze financial performance metrics to drive profitability
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with beverages and service
  • Coordinate with other departments (Food & Beverage, Events, Front Office) to support hotel functions, banquets, and special events
  • Establish and maintain relationships with beverage vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality products
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and service standards
  • Monitor and manage staff scheduling to optimize coverage, reduce labor costs, and maintain service excellence
  • Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement through upselling, promotions, and special beverage offerings
  • Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory, and staff performance; prepare regular reports for management review
