Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with compound semiconductor growth or MMIC fabrication such as GaN, SiC, or GaAs
  • Experience with nanoscale and microscale material characterization and metrology, such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman, or time-domain thermoreflectance (TDTR)
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, particularly for RF and power applications
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time to accommodate client needs
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience with performing or supporting government-sponsored research activities
  • Experience with ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors, including materials characterization, device properties, or fabrication
  • Knowledge of conventional microelectronics fabrication tools and processes (e.g. lithography, physical vapor deposition (PVD), chemical mechanical polishing (CMP))
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Doctorate degree in Physics or Electrical, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic technical consultant to various government research organizations helping oversee the creation and execution of advanced government-funded research and development programs in application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) microelectronics.
  • Work with world-class scientists and engineers to impact national security investments through the development of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior DoD decision-makers.
  • Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs.
  • Assist with the management of programs and facilitate the transition of program deliverables to DoD stakeholders.
