Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree with 6 or more years of related experience.
  • At least 8 years of related experience, or 6 or more years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience with oncology-specific software, electronic medical record integrations, and care coordination platforms.
  • A track record of achieving or exceeding order and revenue targets in enterprise healthcare sales.
  • Deep understanding of oncology care delivery models, clinical workflows, and operational challenges within hospital-based cancer programs.
  • Knowledge and ability to conduct high-level presentations to clinical and administrative audiences.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
  • Vendor credentialing is required for United States and Canada positions, and the candidate must obtain and complete the learning management system training plan specific to the assigned responsibility.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more within the United States and Canada as required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan targeting oncology service lines within hospitals, academic medical centers, cancer centers, and health systems.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through contract execution, typically spanning 6–18 months.
  • Sell Advanced Oncology Solutions products and services in partnership with the Siemens Healthineers field team and internal delivery teams to build long-term, recurring-revenue engagements with customers.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies tailored to oncology workflow and staffing challenges.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with oncology operations, nursing, pharmacy, and administration leadership to identify workflow gaps and workforce pain points.
  • Map client needs to Advanced Oncology Solutions people solutions, including staffing models and workforce planning tools, and workflow solutions, including clinical platforms, electronic health record integrations, and care coordination software.
  • Deliver customized presentations and business-case proposals demonstrating measurable return on investment and clinical impact.
  • Collaborate with clinical consultants, implementation teams, and account management to ensure seamless solution delivery and long-term client success.
  • Build and sustain executive-level relationships with Chief Medical Officers, Chief Nursing Officers, Vice Presidents and Directors of Oncology, and Chief Financial Officers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for significant key partner relationships and development.
  • Navigate complex hospital procurement processes, including group purchasing organization relationships, value analysis committees, and health system contracting structures.
  • Represent Siemens Healthineers at national and regional oncology conferences, trade shows, and health system leadership forums.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide market insights to inform product development, pricing strategies, and positioning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical affairs, finance, legal, and operations teams to support deal structuring and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate customer relationship management records, including pipeline activity, account plans, and forecasting data.
  • Apply organizational, time-management, and territory-management practices to maintain reliable service for clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Management consulting experience.
  • A Master of Business Administration or advanced clinical degree.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, oncology service-line profit-and-loss structures, and health-system capital-budgeting processes.
  • Knowledge of the National Committee for Quality Assurance, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Joint Commission requirements as they apply to oncology program accreditation.
  • Experience selling workforce or staffing solutions, clinical workflow platforms, or healthcare technology into hospital systems.

Siemens Healthineers has received up to $60 million from the US Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health to develop photon Flash radiotherapy, with the company contributing an additional $23 million, totalling $83 million over five years. Flash photon therapy delivers radiotherapy more than 100 times faster than current technologies, aiming to reduce side effects and improve healthy tissue sparing. Unlike proton and electron beam platforms, which face scalability challenges, photon beams are the standard of care for over 50% of cancer patients. The project will build on existing C-arm linear accelerators to enable broader clinical access. Siemens Healthineers aims to transition ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy from experimental treatment into global standard of care within the five-year timeframe.

Varian TrueBeam gets FDA clearance for low-dose radiotherapy to treat osteoarthritis

Siemens Healthineers has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Varian TrueBeam radiotherapy systems to treat medically refractory osteoarthritis in adults using low-dose radiation therapy. This marks the first expansion of Varian's radiotherapy platform beyond cancer care into chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Osteoarthritis affects over 33 million adults in the US and approximately 600 million globally. The clearance covers TrueBeam, TrueBeam STx, VitalBeam and Edge systems, offering patients with persistent pain a non-invasive outpatient treatment option that targets inflammation, reduces pain and improves joint function. The approval builds on Varian's previous regulatory clearances for non-oncological indications, including radiosurgery treatment for medically refractory essential tremor. The TrueBeam platform combines high-resolution imaging with precise dose control whilst maintaining streamlined clinical workflows.

Telix and Varian enter research collaboration. Telix Pharmaceuticals and Siemens Healthineers' company Varian have agreed to develop novel clinical applications that combine Telix's theranostics products and Varian's external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) technology. The first area of focus will be in identifying opportunities to use Telix's prostate cancer PET imaging agents in selecting patients for EBRT, developing personalized treatment plans (particularly in the context of Varian's Ethos adaptive radiotherapy system), and monitoring responses to treatment, Telix said. The agreement supports both company-sponsored and investigator-led clinical studies.
