Requirements
  • Ideally targeting individuals with 10+ years of pharmacy experience (technology, operations, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, etc)
  • Prior exposure to pharmacy management systems, integrations, and transportation management systems, a significant plus
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing experienced, customer-facing professionals (preferred not required)
  • Experience with pharmacy operations, logistics workflows, and last-mile delivery considerations, strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting or selling technology-enabled logistics solutions, a plus
  • Advanced program or project management expertise (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma), preferred
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels in fast-moving environments
Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute the strategy for Pharmacy Sales Support aligned with OptiFreight growth priorities and sales objectives
  • Define how Sales Engineers are deployed across opportunities to maximize impact, consistency, and scalability
  • Translate pharmacy market needs, customer use cases, and operational realities into clear enablement strategies and solution positioning
  • Partner with senior sales leadership to prioritize opportunities requiring advanced technical or pharmacy-specific support
  • Directly manage and coachSales Engineer roles, ensuring clarity of expectations, performance standards, and professional development
  • Provide mentorship on advanced deal support, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Build structure, repeatability, and best practices across the Sales Engineer function
  • Assess future staffing and capability needs as Pharmacy Sales Support continues to scale
  • Act as an escalation point for complex, high-stakes, or strategic pharmacy opportunities
  • Partner with Sales Engineers on executive-level customer engagements, including: C-suite presentations, pharmacy operations leadership discussion, risk assessments and solution validation
  • Influence deal shaping, proposal development, contracting, and solution design for advanced logistics management technologies
  • Ensure effective handoff from sales to implementation and ongoing operational teams
  • Serve as the primary Pharmacy Sales Support liaison across: Sales & Business Development, Product & Technology, IT & Integrations, Implementation & Operations, Legal & Contracting
  • Proactively identify process gaps, risks, or inefficiencies and drive improvements across functions
  • Provide strategic input into product roadmap discussions based on pharmacy customer needs and field insights
  • Establish metrics to assess effectiveness of Pharmacy Sales Support (e.g., adoption, deal velocity, readiness, field satisfaction)
  • Recommend and implement new practices, tools, and engagement models to improve scalability and effectiveness
  • Ensure commitments made during the sales process are operationally feasible and delivered consistently
