Requirements
  • Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfil business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Including the identification of the appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimisation, and resourcing requirements.
  • Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages. Use of data to drive down mean time to resolution.
  • Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilising software scripting/coding disciplines.
  • Security: Implementation of a secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats, including protection of hardware, software, and data from unauthorised access.
  • Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives via a data driven approach.
  • Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Education requirements: A senior consultant will have a minimum of 15 – 20 years of experience on the mainframe platform. The minimum education is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 15 years of mainframe experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
Responsibilities
  • A Senior Consultant is responsible to provide subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, adoption guidance and solution/technical specialization as a Mainframe DB2 System Programmer.
  • Install, upgrade and maintain the DB2 software as well as Broadcom DB2 Administration software.
  • You will be assigned Install, Upgrade and maintain Broadcom DB2 Administration and Performance solutions.
  • The successful candidate will build customer, partner and prospect relationships to better understand their business and IT challenges.
  • This is a hands-on keyboard position with the expectation of SME skillsets in DB2 and the enablement of common interfaces like CICS, DB2Connect and learn various others.
  • You will also asked to build and maintain DB2 infrastructure, which is reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with z/OSMF.
  • Experience with Data Propagation methodologies.
  • Experience with DB2 internal and RACF Security.
  • Possess a strong willingness to learn emerging mainframe technologies.
  • Experience in managing on call for DB2 environments

Meta and Broadcom have announced an extended partnership through 2029 for designing Meta's custom AI accelerators. Meta has committed to deploying one gigawatt of its training and inference accelerators under the agreement. AI hardware stocks show strong financial performance despite bubble fears
