Requirements
  • 8+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement or vendor management experience, with a preference for experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Direct experience in procuring mechanical components, including CNC Machining, Castings, Extrusions, Sheet Metals/Stampings, and Coatings
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to manage cost, quality, delivery, and overall supply base performance in the Mechanical commodity areas
  • Identify and realize cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities on existing spend
  • Help build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs without compromising supply or quality
  • Continually explore new technologies to optimize performance, efficiency, and value to stakeholders
  • Drive the creation of efficient and scalable processes within Sourcing, and across Carbon in general
  • Proactively engage with Engineering, Product and Finance stakeholders to develop, refine and execute on the Carbon’s business and NPI/technology roadmap
  • Challenge suppliers and the internal development team to identify and implement innovative designs, value-add specification changes, concepts and materials.

  • Ability to perform financial analysis (i.e., supplier capital projects, ROI, NPV, financial status, make vs. buy, etc.)
  • The ability to successfully leverage technology and financial systems to extract and analyze data
