Requirements
  • Ability to pass a reading and arithmetic assessment during pre-employment screenings.
  • Ability to complete an eight-week training course.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with using computers.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Ability to train on site Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as scheduled.
  • Ability to interact with nursing staff, residents, and family members in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for at least eight hours per day.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete all assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Respond timely to residents' call lights and offer support as needed.
  • Assist residents with care, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Perform restorative procedures as instructed.
  • Clean oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, intravenous poles, and wheelchairs.
  • Assist with transferring residents to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
  • Assist with moving residents' personal items during room changes.
  • Make residents' beds and handle linen according to infection control guidelines.
  • Set up trays for residents who feed themselves.
  • Fill water pitchers and distribute trays during mealtime.
  • Practice infection control and standard precaution techniques consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties while being trained and as assigned.
