  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Series 6 (if not actively held, ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. If multiple exams are required, an additional 90-days will be added after successfully passing each exam).
  • State Securities agent registrations (Series 63 or Series 66), (if not actively held, ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. If multiple exams are required, an additional 90-days will be added after successfully passing each exam).
  • State Life and Health Insurance license, (if not actively held, ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. If multiple exams are required, an additional 90-days will be added after successfully passing each exam).
  • 1-3 years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales, or financial wholesaling
  • Ability to work on a team and in a sales/results-oriented environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Effective presentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Learn and become an expert in RiverSource annuity products and strategies. Build and maintain relationships with the wholesaling team. Engage with Ameriprise advisors to learn how RiverSource annuity solutions fit into the financial planning process.
  • Answer calls via an inbound phone queue. Answer questions about our product line up. Use effective questioning to match our product solutions to client’s retirement and legacy needs. Run illustrations and product proposals and teach advisors how to use these tools to present our solutions to their clients. Follow up as needed to assist in closing the business and finding new opportunities.
  • Partner with wholesaling teams to identify proactive callout opportunities and determine desired outcomes. Examples include driving event attendance, notifying advisors of updated licensing requirements, and other ways to assist wholesaling teams.
  • Pass all required exams and keep current on all FINRA and state insurance training and CE requirements.
