QA Engineer II

Job Purpose

ICE Mortgage Technology is a provider of enterprise on-demand solutions, including an online network, software and services for the residential mortgage industry. We are leading the mortgage industry into the future, developing and marketing software solutions that are transforming how mortgage lenders, investors, and settlement service providers work and work together. We are looking for a QA Engineer II who will be responsible for automating tests to verify the operability and dependencies between a new system in development and existing ones. 

Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities:  Design, develop, and execute automated tests throughout the software development life cycle, within an Agile work environment. In this role you will also create and perform manual tests to verify integrity of the code base. You will be expected to work with Product, BAs, and Development.

• Author and maintain automated test cases that ensure the quality of ICE Mortgage Technology products (specifically Simplifile components and features)
• May need to write and maintain manual test cases prior to automating them
• Responsible for moderately complex projects and assignments related to automation
• Responsible for testing both API and UI components of the products
• Responsible for writing Integration and UI level tests
• Responsible for debugging and troubleshooting complex issues related to automation
• Participate in the planning of bug fixes, features, and enhancements to be implemented and deployed
• Sets and helps guide work objectives and project goals
• Work in a flexible, agile development environment with rapid release cycles

Knowledge and Experience

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university desired.
• Non-degree programming certificates and other relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis
• 3+ years’ experience in doing Quality Assurance Automation
• Must be able to work effectively with minimal direction
• Must be passionate about QA and writing code
• Possess a good working knowledge of modern QA principles and how they apply to QA methodologies and processes
• Skilled in one or both of the following languages: Java, JavaScript
• Experience in one or both of the following database languages: MySQL, MongoDB
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as: Codecept/Puppeteer, TestNG, Postman/Newman, Selenium, etc.
• Ability to learn quickly, collaborate, adapt, and work well with others

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
