Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain trust with leadership, management, and employees as a key contact.
  • Gain a firm understanding of business objectives and collaborate with HR colleagues to build high-performing programs that drive strategic HR goals.
  • Understand the entire talent system, and each state of the employee life cycle and applies high-performing programs to increase engagement during each stage.
  • Work closely with management and employees to manage performance, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Partners with HR team as needed.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Consult with management to provide situational advice, coaching and policy guidance as needed.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement global mobility policies, training, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Manage the end-to-end relocation process for international assignments, including coordination with internal stakeholders (HR, finance, SNG leadership and legal) and external vendors to ensure compliance with international tax, immigration, and employment laws.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and their families throughout the relocation process by addressing employee inquiries and concerns related to global mobility.
  • Create communication materials and resources for employees on international assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all international assignments and relocations.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field; Master’s degree highly desirable
  • Certification in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP) is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations, organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning
  • 3+ years’ experience supporting global mobility efforts.
  • Knowledge of international tax, immigration, and employment laws.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including international HR and expatriate practices, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR preferred.
