Wise Philippines shares updates on its payment solutions.

Wise Philippines shares updates on its payment solutions. More Filipinos live across different foreign currencies, and this is fueled by a thriving freelance economy earning international salaries and a growing appetite for outbound travel. With this in mind, Wise Philippines shared during its Media Connect forum that around 81% of young Filipinos are willing to live and work abroad-and that they have solutions to help them manage multiple foreign currencies. Wise's payment platform connects Filipinos directly to domestic payment networks to deliver faster, cheaper and more transparent cross-border transfers. This is further supported with Wise's partnership with InstaPay and PESONet for more ways for consumers and businesses to move PHP. Wise customers in the Philippines can already receive payments in major currencies like USD, GBP and AUD with account details. Now, Wise is expanding its offerings to make PHP more accessible by allowing Filipinos living outside the Philippines and Wise users globally to get PHP account details through Wise without having to set up a traditional local bank account or visit a physical branch. They can simply share these details to receive PHP transfers from employers, clients, friends and family via the same InstaPay and PESONet payment networks. Wise customers can now scan and pay using QRPh for everyday local transactions in the Philippines using PHP or any currency that they have in their Wise Account, directly from their Wise balance. This means travellers visiting the Philippines can easily spend without needing a local bank account or e-wallet. Similarly, anyone receiving through Wise can set an Auto Conversion target rate to convert earnings to PHP, and spend or pay bills in the Philippines from their Wise balance, all with one app. For small businesses and MSMEs, Wise is enabling its Business Account customers to receive higher instant domestic payments of Php 500,000 through InstaPay for Business. Powered by Wise's direct connection to InstaPay, Wise is among the first financial institutions in the Philippines to roll out this capability. "Managing international money is becoming an everyday reality for many Filipinos as they increasingly live and do business across borders," Wise Philippines Country Manager Areson Cuevas said. "By integrating with domestic payment networks, we're making the Philippine Peso more accessible-helping Wise customers move money into, out of, and across the Philippines in a much faster, cheaper and simpler way." These new capabilities build on Wise's continued growth in the Philippines, including the introduction of Wise Account and Card, Wise Business, as well as the expansion of Wise Platform through its partnership with GoTyme Bank, which enables customers to send money directly to more than 200 countries and territories through the GoTyme Bank app.
