Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years' experience in health or human services or related field
- Strong technical skills including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to create and design PowerPoint presentations
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and/or organizational performance measurement
- Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently and effectively with executive and senior stakeholders, including c-levels and board members
- Some travel required
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Responsibilities
- In consultation with Foundation leadership, build, manage, and evaluate health and human services portfolios with a focus on adolescent mental health, veterans mental health and other health and human services grantees
- Research and understand the landscape of stakeholders (e.g., potential grantees, governmental programs, beneficiaries, communities) and intervention approaches in mental health, veterans health and other health and human services sectors
- Solicit proposals from grantees that fit into funding strategies for health and human services portfolios and conduct due diligence on submissions
- Monitor and evaluate operational and performance metrics of the Foundation's grantees (focusing on our larger health projects, such as veterans health) and forecast operational demand and capacity
- Where appropriate, conduct external landscape analysis of comparable operations to benchmark grantee practices and performance metrics
- Support financial and programmatic analysis of grantee reports (e.g., analysis, visualizations) in the health and human services portfolios
- Regularly summarize findings of analyses and help present results to Foundation leadership to support decision-making
- Manage grantmaking processes for health and human services grants including updating Salesforce records, processing grant letters, communicating with grantees, and related tasks
- Assist with data gathering and analysis from external sources (e.g. government statistics)
- Conduct grantee site visits to build relationships and evaluate grantee performance
- Assist with special projects as needed
