Responsibilites

• Conduct thorough research on labor laws, regulations, and industry standards related to meal periods and rest breaks.
• Analyze existing meal and break policies to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company standards.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal and Operations teams to develop and implement updated meal and break policies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the meal and break programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve satisfaction and productivity.
• Provide guidance and training to managers and supervisors on meal and break policies, ensuring consistent implementation and enforcement across the organization.
• Partner with payroll to ensure accurate tracking and recording of meal periods and rest breaks
• Investigate and address complaints or issues related to meal and break violations, supporting corrective actions with managers.
• Stay informed on changes in labor laws and regulations pertaining to meal and break requirements and proactively update policies.
• Generate reports and metrics to track compliance with meal and break regulations and identify trends and concerns
• Serve as the SME on meal and break policies during audits and other inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Preferred HR or compliance background.
• Working knowledge of HCHB and Paylocity.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of State and Federal wage regulations.
