Requirements
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with contamination and treatment systems in place at Pueblo Chemical Depot’s Southwest and South-Central Terraces.
Responsibilities
  • Perform project tasks outlined in project work plans (e.g., Sampling and Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Health and Safety Plans) as assigned by Project Managers.
  • Perform in-situ remediation injections as required at Pueblo Chemical Depot’s Southwest and South Central Terraces.
  • Collecting field data and environmental samples (soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater); prepare field logs and records; sample packaging/shipping and chain of custody; and procurement of materials and supplies for field efforts.
  • Support installation and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells.
  • Perform work in accordance with Leidos and client Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety programs. This includes ensuring field teams under your supervision are also performing work in accordance with Leidos and client Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety programs.
  • Maintain access to injection and monitoring well locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • OSHA 1910.120 hazardous waste worker certification (40-hour HAZWOPER) and current OSHA 8-hour refresher.
  • Ability to work long days in outdoor environments, and work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs.
  • Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
