Iodine Software uses AI to help healthcare providers improve money coming in from payers and make clinical notes more accurate. It serves about 500 hospitals with software that analyzes medical records and mimics a clinician’s judgment to ensure documentation is precise, reducing revenue leakage and payer denials. Its products, including AwareCDI and Iodine Labs, are subscription tools that identify and fix under- or mis-coding during the revenue cycle, helping hospitals receive appropriate reimbursement more reliably. Unlike general AI tools, it applies a proprietary Cognitive Emulation technology to scale review of records and documentation, aiming to boost incremental reimbursement (reported around $30 million per hospital) and strengthen financial resiliency for healthcare finance teams. The company’s goal is to provide accurate, efficient revenue cycle operations and stable, predictable payments for healthcare providers.
