- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of previous maintenance technician experience is required.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and their uses is required.
- A valid Colorado driver's license, insurance verification, and a good driving record are required.
- The role requires the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employees.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematics aptitude is required.
- The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and use an extension ladder for repairs.
- The employee must be able to perform emergency maintenance and the listed physical activities, including bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, crouching, squatting, lifting, balancing, standing, sitting, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, and using hands and fingers.
- The employee must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health.

- Perform maintenance and repairs on affordable housing facilities, equipment, and grounds, including appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, landscaping, and janitorial work.
- Identify and address safety issues that may present hazards to clients, employees, facilities, or the public.
- Assist with monitoring the apartment make-ready schedule to ensure units are ready for rent on time.
- Assist with monitoring service requests to ensure completion within 24 hours.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and biannual preventive maintenance.
- Maintain facilities in a safe, clean, and orderly manner that complies with agency standards.
- Attend assigned meetings and staff development activities.
- Maintain proper work-order procedures and related documentation according to agency guidelines.
- Maintain building and grounds curb appeal.
- Provide scheduled after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage.
- Mentor Maintenance Technician I staff.
- Inventory building supplies.
- Provide additional hours in preparation for upcoming REAC inspections at any or all facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least three years of direct experience in building maintenance or a trade school certificate is preferred.
- CFC certification is desired.
- CAMT certification is desired.
