Requirements
  • Proven experience developing complex software solutions and delivering high-quality software systems, preferably SaaS services.
  • Proven architecture design and documentation experience.
  • A proven track record of successfully re-architecting existing systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, Python, and Java.
  • Deep experience with REST APIs and documenting REST endpoints.
  • Experience with cloud-native development and microservices architectures.
  • DevOps experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to drive change and influence without authority.
  • Excellent presentation and data visualization skills, including reporting to and presenting for senior leadership and development teams.
  • Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve the company-wide architecture and technology vision.
  • Establish clear architectural principles, standards, and reusable building blocks.
  • Drive adoption of architectural standards across teams through collaboration rather than mandate.
  • Contribute to global reference architecture initiatives.
  • Guide and mentor more than 50 engineers across multiple teams and tribes.
  • Support senior developers and technical leads in making sound architectural trade-offs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for complex, cross-team initiatives.
  • Ensure successful execution of large, cross-team technical initiatives.
  • Improve platform scalability, stability, and maintainability.
  • Define pragmatic governance where needed without slowing teams down.
  • Assess the technical and leadership skills of senior engineers.
  • Advise on learning, development, and training needs.
  • Support hiring of senior technical roles in collaboration with People and Culture.
  • Develop an architecture analysis and documentation framework adopted by the team.
  • Enable autonomous architectural decisions across teams.
  • Ensure major platform services have comprehensive and consistent documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Very good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with the Objectives and Key Results framework.
  • Experience with AI-enabled development.
