We’re looking for a talented Associate UX designer to join our team at DAT. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to build new analytics products so our customers can better understand and make decisions in the freight market. You will assist in the design process, from research and wireframing to prototyping and final design, contributing to a product that helps our customers efficiently do their jobs daily. What You’ll Do

- Participate in brainstorming sessions, workshops, and design reviews to contribute new ideas and feedback.
- Support the development of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Solicit feedback early and often from stakeholders, customers, and engineers, fearlessly and quickly iterating on unpolished hand sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore customer needs and the solution space.
- Assist with updating and maintaining the DAT design system, style guides, and pattern libraries.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Have fun with a great team of industry professionals who thrive on deeply understanding our customers and solving big problems creatively.
The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or relevant work and/or education experience
- Comfort working with Product, UX, and Engineers, and making decisions based on product metrics.
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles, research methods, and usability testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A self-starter who thrives on responsibility and accountability and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Fluency with mobile technologies and interactions.
- Proficiency in design and rapid prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- You must be able to present a strong portfolio showcasing design work across various digital products and experiences, including examples of sketching and low-to-high-fidelity prototypes that explain both the process and desired outcomes.
